NORESCO Awards SMI with the ECM-07 Steam and Insulation Project at the VISN 12 Captain James A. Lovell FHCC

LUDINGTON, MI, June 20, 2018:

NORESCO has awarded Steam Management, Inc. (SMI) with the ECM-07 Steam and Insulation Project at VISN 12 Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL.

The ECM scope of work consists of three focuses:

  • Retrofitting existing thermostatic steam traps and replacement of float and thermostatic steam traps with 784 Armstrong International products.
  • Furnishing and installing new pipe insulation on 1,616 linear feet of uninsulated piping, valves and fittings.
  • Furnishing and installing removable insulation covers on 128 PRV’s, strainers, valves, etc.

The project is a substantial undertaking that will be built beginning in early July 2018 and is scheduled for completion by November 2018 before the start of the next heating season.

“SMI is excited and poised to begin working for NORESCO to execute their Energy Savings Performance Contract at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in Chicago,” said Keith Carlsen, vice president and COO, of Steam Management, Inc. “By leveraging our team’s expertise in project management and Armstrong International’s proven product quality we will be able to secure NORESCO’s contracted savings for the VISN 12 Great Lakes Health Care System.”
